Clutch pedal adjustment is crucial to prevent engine damage. If the pedal is pushed too far past the disengagement point you can hydraulically push/pull the crank too much which will crush your thrust bearings in the block. This will cause excessive crank walk and damage the crank, block and oil pump as well. We see this happen on quite a few cars here in the shop, especially with heavy clutches. We recommend everyone run these and properly adjust them to prevent this from happening. If your car already stalls or drops heavily in rpm when you press in your clutch pedal, the damage is already done.
Highlights:
-Bolt on design
-CNC machined billet aluminum
-Adjustable to fit the needs of different vehicle/clutch setups
NOTES:
-You must remove the purple rubber return stop on the pedal before installing.
-You want the stop to bottom out with about 0.5 to 1.0 inch of travel pass the engagement point of the clutch. There should be a small amount of travel lifting the pedal off the floor before the clutch starts to grab from a dead stop. Not enough travel in this area will cause the transmission to grind/not shift. Too much travel will cause thrust damage and defeat the purpose of this part.
-Bolting it too high on the pedal will contact the push rod clevis. Recommend fully pushing the pedal in and looking/feeling for clearance before test driving.
